Jupiter Boat Slips for Sale | Kyle Camerlinck

Jupiter Boat Slips

Finding the right slip is not as simple as finding the advertised length.

The boat, marina, ownership structure, dimensions, rules, fees and future resale all matter.

I work with boat slip buyers and sellers, including private and off market searches.

When helping boat slip buyers and sellers in Jupiter and northern Palm Beach County, I focus on whether the slip fits the boat, the ownership terms and the buyer’s long term plans.

Start with the boat.

Send me:

  • Boat make
  • Boat model
  • Length overall
  • Beam
  • Draft
  • Engine configuration
  • Approximate height
  • Current boat
  • Likely future boat
  • Preferred marina area
  • Whether ownership is required
  • Whether rental is acceptable
  • Your budget

One of the most expensive mistakes is buying a slip that works for today's boat but not the boat you already know you want next.

Advertised slip length is not enough.

The physical slip, marina rules and allowed vessel dimensions all need to work together.

Depending on the marina, buyers may need to evaluate:

  • Usable dimensions
  • Maximum permitted length
  • Beam
  • Water depth
  • Dock configuration
  • Utilities
  • Power
  • Parking
  • Marina access
  • Association structure
  • Quarterly or monthly fees
  • Rental rules
  • Liveaboard rules
  • Transfer restrictions
  • Approval requirements
  • Capital projects
  • Resale activity

Confirm the actual rules and governing documents for the specific marina.

On market is only part of the inventory.

Boat slip inventory can be thin.

Some owners will consider selling without actively advertising the slip.

I have contacted dockmasters, marina contacts and individual owners when searching for a specific fit for a buyer.

That approach does not guarantee an off market opportunity.

It does expand the search beyond whatever happens to be publicly listed that week.

Boat slips as part of a waterfront real estate strategy

A private dock behind the house is not the only solution for every boat owner.

In some cases, owning or renting a separate marina slip can let a buyer choose the house they actually want without forcing the residential search to solve every boating requirement.

I look at the full picture.

House.
Boat.
Dockage.
Location.
Cost.
Resale.

Looking for a slip?

Send me the boat information plus the general area you want.

If the right option is not publicly available, I can determine whether an off market search makes sense.
